UPVC (Unplasticized Polyvinyl Chloride) was produced the first time in 1935 and has been industrially manufactured in large quantities for over 50 years. UPVC developed into a material that offers a wide range of properties that being UPVC panel. The process starts with sodium chloride (common salt), from which chlorine gas is obtained by electrolysis.

How UPVC panel are made?

Manufactured by vacuum forming and pressure bonding two UPVC skins to a variety of core materials. The high technology bonding technique ensures the integrity of the adhesion for both heat and moisture.

UPVC frames are either 20mm, 24mm or 28mm thick and wooden frames can be any thickness from 14mm up to 28mm thick. Sharp chisel(and 25mm size)put the blade in the gap(bevel towards frame)and ease the bead out.

UPVC stands for unplasticized polyvinyl chloride, it is a strong and low-maintenance but lightweight plastic building material.

The beads ease out towards the center of the door. Once you can get your fingers in there pull them out completely. This panel can also be used for roofline products, such as downpipes, guttering and facias.

They existed for centuries after being discovered independently in the 19th century by two separate chemists. UPVC is used as a replacement for wood in construction, such as in double glazed and material that can be manufactured in many colors or made to look like other materials (e.g., wood).

These panels never change shape under normal weather conditions, but it can be reshaped at very high temperatures. Windows made with UPVC are more energy-efficient than those with wooden or metal frames. It is also known as PVC and PVCU. However, they are all referring to the same plastic building material.

UPVCs are self-extinguishing and impenetrable gaining favor from various engineering. It also has other features like lightweight, strong and UV resistant. Though the main reason it is well-liked by all is for being cheap and widely available.

UPVCs are used in many places. Windows, doors, cladding, guttering systems, conservatory roofs, etc. It is also used instead of cast iron for heavy-duty plumbing and draining. They are better thermal insulators than normal windows and doors. And can easily last for 20 yrs in great condition.

Plastic also has the advantage in terms of rusting, swelling and warping; unlike metal or wood, UPVC will retain its shape and strength for years to come.
