Amala is one of those medicinal herbs with many benefits. Its scientific name is Phyllanthus Emblica. Amala has other names like Emblic, Emblic myrobalan, myrobalan, Indian gooseberry, Malacca tree, or Amla, from the Sanskrit Amalaki. Amala belongs to the deciduous tree of the family Phyllanthaceae.

Amla is rich in Vitamin C which makes it one of the nutritious fruits. We can eat this fruit, raw or cooked in various dishes. Moreover, amala is also used for making hair oil and shampoos.

Gurjo – A Medicinal Herb from Nepal

Chutro is an evergreen Shrub growing to 3.5 m (11ft 6in) at a medium rate. It is one of the medicinal herbs found in the hills of Nepal. It is widely used in rural areas as a go-to medicine for treating different medical conditions.
